Leadership Team

Manan Patel

Mr. Patel is the CEO and President of BioLink LifeSciences. He is an experienced pharmaceutical development scientist with over a decade of experience in drug development. His motto for BioLink is – “Converse, Understand, Collaborate, Deliver.” He took over BioLink in 2019, after which his focus has been on over-delivering quality at a fraction of cost and time. In the past, he has worked with industry leaders such as Pfizer, Alcami, and J&J, which gave him a deep understanding of the industry and its struggles. While BioLink works with companies ranging vastly in size and capacity, his focus is on delivering premium services to emerging pharma and biotech companies. He also has several publications under his name and is affiliated with Registered Pharmacist in India (RPh) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Dr. Deanna Nelson

Dr. Nelson, Ph.D., is the Founder and the President of BioLink LifeSciences. Since BioLink was founded in 2001, Dr. Nelson has supported healthcare companies of varying sizes from all over the globe to access premium solutions in synthesis, analytical, manufacturing, and project management. Dr. Nelson is a registered U.S. patent agent and has successfully received over $1 million in grant support from the government. She has over 150 patents and publications attesting to her scientific, medical, and product development expertise. Her goals are to provide outstanding service to clients and to enhance the quality of healthcare through her actions.

Scientific Advisory Team

Dr. Kailas Thakker

Dr. Kailas Thakker, Ph.D., has served the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years. Her expertise lies in developing and validating analytical methods for a variety of dosage forms. She is a recognized leader in in-vitro release rate and skin permeation testing and her ongoing work on the advisory panel of USP has resulted in the issuance of new testing methods for topical dosage forms. Other specialties include Regulatory requirements for topical and transdermal drug products, Stability testing for pharmaceutical products, and maintenance of a GLP/GMP-compliant contract facility.

Dr. Uday Doshi

Dr. Uday Doshi, Ph.D., is an accomplished name in the pharmaceutical industry with 30+ years of experience working with big brands such as Johnson & Johnson, RiteDose, and Pfizer. He is a strategic and technical leader who has led cross-functional teams for a diverse range of products that include simple sterile ophthalmic and inhalation solutions, emulsions and suspensions, devices for cataract and vitreoretinal surgery, and globally recognized OTC brands. Dr. Doshi is also the Founder of Rigel Consulting, where he provides consulting services and is also involved with the development of sterile injectable and ophthalmic products.

Dr. Pardeep Gupta

Dr. Pardeep Gupta, Ph.D., currently serves as Professor, Burroughs Wellcome Chair, and Director of the Industrial Pharmacy Laboratory at St. Joseph’s University. He has spent 30+ years teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in controlled drug delivery systems, pharmaceutical solutions, drug stability, drug diffusion, and pharmaceutical rate processes.

His interest areas include nanoparticle-based protein delivery systems, the use of amphiphilic peptides as stabilizers of nanosuspensions, and the design of peptide drugs. Dr. Gupta is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Chemical Society, and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. He has served on the editorial board of Remington-The Science and Practice of Pharmacy and also authored several chapters in Remington and other reference books.
